| Personal History | Bok was born to Ventor and Jara on Bolarus IX in the Bolarus star system of the Beta Quadrant. Bolarus is stormy and oceanic, and located close to the Romulan Neutral Zone. At a young age Bok was diagnosed with having a photography memory which often caused him severe headaches. He, like all Bolian children, were taught about the harsh beginnings of his people. It was told that three brothers set out to the sea in hopes of finding a better land to settle. Each sailing in their own direction, they discovered the three continents that make up the surface of Bolarus IX, thus the first tribes were established. This story stuck with Bok through his early years and always wondered about the stars. He absorbed what information he could find about far away places and wanted to be a shuttle pilot to explore the stars. In his teenage years Romulan "traders" would often come to Bolarus and trade goods with her people, often sharing stories of heroic deeds. This enthralled Bok With his parents blessing he applied for Starfleet Academy at the age of 18. After 4 years of studying and exams, then took advanced flight training, Bok got his first posting to do the Jovian Run with fellow pilot Kell Perim. She would later become one of his closest friends and confidants. The daily shuttle run from Jupiter to Saturn kept him happy for a while then he wanted more, new places to see and to go where no Bolian had gone before! He applied to join the USS Cochrane, an Oberth class science vessel as a flight control officer. Bok hasn't looked back since that day and his now got himself to the position of Chief Flight Control Officer aboard the Sovereign class USS Liberty under the command of Captain Kaylen. He hope to continue his growth and development under a new Captain. |
