Having returned to the Liberty after my shore leave, I needed to find out what was needed before we left port. Sitting down at my terminal, I found a message from Starfleet Command. It read:

To: Harry Stevens, Lieutenant JG
From: Starfleet Command
Subject: Reassignment

Greetings, Lieutenant

It has been noted that you have skills in Engineering and Security, and we feel that you are in the wrong department that suits your talents. Therefore, you are being reassigned as Chief Engineer of the USS Liberty.

So here it was, the next chapter of my journey as the Chief Engineer of this ship. Now I'd better get down to my new charges, find out what's been going on, and file my first report.
