Captain Kaylen Rhenora looked at the small box of personal effects she had brought with her, a sampling of what was dear and important as well as reminders of her home. She hadn't had the chance to visit Bajor in a long time, despite repeated efforts to take leave - something always came up.

Opening the container she carefully unpacked the items one at a time, taking care to consider where would be an appropriate location. Her small shrine to the Prophets, a holopic of the USS Sunfire crew from years ago, a leather bound book, a betrothal bracelet. Each held a special place in her life and sent memories often pushed to the side to make way for life or death letters now firmly to the forefront.

The shrine was carefully placed under one of the large windows, the natural darkness of space providing the perfect backdrop for meditation and contemplation. The holopic of the Sunfire crew sat on her workstation, the happy faces smiling as the latest Sunfire prepared for launch. It was a happy memory and she was stoked some of her old crew were rejoining her. The leather book of Bajoran history found a special place displayed on one of the bookshelves. It had been many years since she had the time to read it, but it was special all the same. Then the betrothal bracelet. Her husband Remal had given it to her when he proposed. The thought of him tugged at her heart and she wished he could join her once more.

The few remaining items were slightly less sentimental and found their homes with a little less effort. Rhenora surveyed her handiwork and felt proud of the small touches. She would replicate some art from her home land, and find a location for the small stash of spring wine - the GOOD vintage. Slowly but surely the Liberty was starting to feel like home.
