Captains Log - Supplemental

The Liberty has received its new mission in the Gamma Quadrant, a resupply and mapping mission of some known and lesser known areas of space. It will be good to get back to our roots of assisting others in need and exploring. We are due to ship out of Deep Space Nine in the morning, then drop off supplies at New Bajor on the other side of the Wormhole, and then its off to the far reaches of the Gamma Quadrant. Partially to map, partially to make sure the Founders are still remaining put on their planet. It always pay to keep an eye on your enemy.

Our shore leave was brief but as always eventful. The Computer tech staff took advantage of being docked to perform a system upgrade, how this performs once tested should be interesting. Bonnie assures me that everything will be fine, if not better than fine. We are fully restocked and our staff transfers are complete. I look forward to working with our new Marine Commander, although I'm not sure entirely what to expect. I've not worked closely with Marines before but I'm sure we'll find a happy medium between Starfleet and the Marine Corps.

On a personal note Remal and I spent some time down at our cottage on Bajor, only to have it burnt to the ground. I have a feeling there is a dark presence now moving amoung the people, stirring unrest and prohesising for change. I'm not entirely sure what my calling will be in that regard - only that for the next while Starfleet needs me. I will not forgo a life in the stars just yet. What the future holds - who knows. The Prophets always seem to have a way to get what they want.
