Aurora awoke almost expecting the night of passion she’d had to be nothing more than a very vivid dream. She smiled as she felt Savar’s body cuddled up behind hers, his arm draped over her side holding her close to him.

She slowly lifted his arm enough to lie on her back so she could look at him as he slept. She’d missed their nights together, after they’d parted before her life seemed empty and she hadn’t bothered with seeing anyone else. Now they were together and it felt so right, she was where she needed to be.

Savar slept and he dreamed. His dream was one of fullness, being complete. Aurora was there with him. She completed him, made him whole. Her love of life and for him, filled an empty hole. A hole he hadn't realized he had until Aurora reentered his life. Now, he would to anything to keep her in in.

Aurora smiled as she propped herself up on one elbow watching her love sleep, someone had once told her that only if you watch when sleeping would you see your loved ones true face, and catch a glimpse of the person beneath the outer exterior. All she saw was the face of the man she loved.

Savar awoke to Aurora looking down at him. "Is something wrong? Do i have a multi legged creature on me?"

Aurora grinned. “Not at all, I was just admiring you as you slept that’s all. I’m still not sure whether this is just a wonderful dream.”

He sat up and leaned forward, his lips capturing hers in a passionate kiss. "I can assure you that it is not a dream."

“Hmm so I see” She returned his kiss, letting it linger for a few moments before looking into his eyes. “Mind meld with me, initiate our intention to be bonded and feel how I feel for you.”

"As you wish." He answered simply and sat up facing her. His long slender fingers reached out and gently touched her cheek and temple. "My mind to your mind, my thoughts to yours." He intoned as the connection was made and their thoughts could be shared.

Aurora gasped, she’d done mind melds before but they were nothing like this. Her mind had never felt such emotion even through her Betazoid senses, the emotion that Savar repressed but kept just below the surface. She felt an outpouring of his love, how empty he’d felt and how complete he felt now she was with him. She concentrated on letting her mental defences down to let Savar fully into her mind.

Savar enter Aurora's mind slowly, not forcing his way but absorbing all he came in contact with. Saw her love for him. Felt her love for all things bright and wonderful. Aurora loved life, lived it to the fullest. Participated in it, wasn't just a spectator. Her outlook was passed on to all she met and they were better for the meeting.

Aurora relaxed smiling at the sensation of sharing minds. *Can you hear my thoughts Imzadi?*

*Yes, I can Aurora. It is quite the the rewarding and refreshing experience.* Savar answered as he made his way deeper into Aurora's mind.

Aurora smiled. *Feel what I feel for you Savar. Feel how much I love you.*

And Savar did, he felt the overwhelming love Aurora had for him along with the outpouring of her love and felt grateful, to have someone as wonderful and compassionate as Aurora love him. *I feel it Aurora, now my love, feel how deeply I love you and have for a long time.*

Tears came to Aurora’s eyes as she felt the sheer overwhelming love Savar had for her, love he had kept hidden inside. *I feel your love Imzadi and it means everything to me.*

Savar made no reply, he let his emotions so long bottled up inside him, talk for him, to express his love for Aurora for her to have no doubt about his feelings for her.

~ A while later ~

Their minds linked and an initial bond of love formed Aurora enjoyed their last few minutes wrapped up in each other’s arms before they would have to get up for their morning shift. “we need to speak to the Captain.”

"Yes." Savar answered, wondering just how the Captain was going to react to this bit of news. Hopefully she would not decide to send one of both of them out an airlock.

Aurora lifted her head and looked at Savar as she sensed his concerns. “You have concerns about how the Captain will react?”

He shook his head, "Not concerns per se Aurora. "I am only recently appointed Executive Officer and I do not wish this to cause any complications in my relationship with the Captain." Savar admitted.

Aurora nodded. “We are both professionals, we know our jobs and I won’t let my feelings cloud my judgement or influence me. I promise you when we’re working you are my Commanding Officer not my mate.”

"You are not a concern Aurora. It is Captain Kaylen. I find her to be an excellent commanding officer and I do not wish to place my position or have her question her decision in placing me as executive officer." Savar answered as he looked at Aurora.

Aurora sat up pulling the sheet around her. “Why would she? Just because you want to marry it doesn’t change you or your skills. You’ve earned your rank and position, hell I’m only a Lieutenant not that it bothers me. I’m proud of you and I’ve no doubt the Captain is too.”

Savar was silent as he thought on what Aurora said. After a few seconds he spoke, "You are correct Aurora. Your logic is most impressive. Forgive my apprehension." He answered as he stroked her cheek.

“There’s nothing to forgive Imzadi” Aurora smiled as she leant forward to kiss him before leaning back again. “I guess we’re going to have to get ready for duty.” She dropped the sheet and jumped up naked. “I’ll race you to the shower!”

Savar got up slowly. He looked at Aurora's lithe figure. "Race? Is the shower leaving?" He asked as he came up next to her and then scooted past her. "It appears you will lose this race Aurora."

"Hey! That's cheating!" She laughed as she raced to catch him up.
