Recovery

Mission:
Diplomatic Masquerade
Location: Sickbay
The Away Team beamed back into the sick bay from the arid planet below, each of them fighting a different battle. Savar and Aurora struggling with the effects of Pon'farr, and Rhenora with a number of superficial injuries that looked worse than they probably were.
Doc Wilson did a quick triage, assessing Savar and Aurora as requiring the most urgent care. She asked her 2IC, a up and coming Doctor by the name of Shane Fitzgerald to tend to the Captain.
As the team were divided up the Captain sought out Remal who should have been still recuperating from his run in with the pathogen. He was resting quietly on the far biobed, thankfully at the moment undisturbed by the away team's arrival.
She breathed a sigh of relief, it was one lecture she could wait to hear later.
Fitzgerald approaches her, tricorder in hand and youthful enthusiasm on his face.
"Tell me what happened" he asked gently, running his tricorder over her as she hopped up on the biobed.
" I had a run in with a Cardassian" she said simply, wondering how much he was going to prod. Thankfully he left the questioning at that.
"Hrmmmm, mild concussion, the cuts are mostly superficial. You'll be fine in an hour or two." He smiled and grabbed a hypo and a dermal regenerator.
"This will help you rest for a few hours while the concussion resolves itself, it'll help with the headache as well" he injected her neatly in the neck before she had a chance to protest. True to his word it made her drowsy without putting her under. She relaxed against the firm biobed and let him do his work, healing the cuts on her forehead and cheek then vanishing in a whisper of medical tunic and beeping equipment.
Sometime later she heard Remal talking quietly with someone, even though she wasn't being spoken to she relaxed at the sound of his voice. He always had the ability to refocus her mind and take stress from her body. Right now with a brief reprieve to heal and rest, the mysteries of Orias III could wait an hour or two
'Maccet's dead' she thought to herself, feeling a massive internal dilemma building within her soul. He'd come here for vengeance and now he was dead. It should've been a clean cut and dry issue but she felt conflicted and somehow responsible. Whilst the Cardassians on the planet had physically withdrawn with the death of their leader, what had happened to the warship? Inactivity and the need for answers bubbles to the surface again, fighting for supremacy with the sedative she'd been given.
With Savar and Aurora needing to get to Vulcan the clock was ticking for the resolution of the current situation. There were many questions that needed answers.
She'd given it one more hour...
