Welcome Aboard!
Location: Bedazed and Liberty

The sun was setting on bedazed with the most amazing colours. Hues of orange, yellow, purple and pink stretched the sky in a brilliant show of what Bedazed could offer. It felt as if her home world was giving a last good show because it knew she would be gone again for quite a while.
“It’s not good bye forever you know,” the sultury voice of her wife told her as she came up behind her and wrapped her arms around the shorter woman’s waist.
“I know….but this time it just…I don’t know. Feels different.” Rain sighed as she leaned into her wife and closed her eyes.
“I’m going to miss you…I wish you were coming…” The Betazoid gave a half smile feeling her wife’s arms tighten a little before feeling a kiss on her head.
“You know I’m never far behind. Plus I’m sure Rhenora will be glad I’m not around for once” the boisterous woman laughed. “ We will talk all the time when you’re not working Imzadi…don’t worry. Focus on the fact you get to be Xo on a ship with one of your oldest and dearest friends!”
“XO…you know it’s strange I never thought I would be a first officer. I thought I would just go straight to having my own ship,” the betazoid laughed knowing her wife had rolled her eyes at her. Before she could add in another quip her alarm sounded. It was bitter sweet. She was excited to get back into space and to be an xo to her friend but she was going to miss her wife and their home.
Rain turned to look her lover in the eyes “ I love you Imzadi”
“I love you too…let’s get you to your shuttle hmm?”
The two women walked hand in hand towards their quaint house on the hill.
<2 hours later>
Rain walked off the transporter padd and gave a nod to the ensign at the controls.
“How’s your day Ensign Yang?” she asked using his name catching him by surprise.
“It’s good ma’am. Thank you Commander” he smiled and watched as the slim woman walked out of the transporter room. He could watch her walk away for days. Rain chuckled hearing his thoughts and continued on to her quarters.
It was going to be different having her own quarters and sleeping alone. She couldn’t remember the last time she slept alone. The telepath decided to unpack later and left her things in her quarters. She looked herself over in the mirror first before leaving. Uniform was clean, no wrinkles, hair was put in a side braid today, her Ti’yala was attached to her right leg as per usual and the rest of her was good.
“Alright you got this,” she nodded to herself and exited her quarters. “ Computer what is the location of the Captain?”
“Captain Kalyen Rhenora is in her ready room.” The emotionless voice of the computer told her.
“Perfect.” Rain made her way to the Captain’s ready room and rang the chime. It had been quite a while since she had seen Rhenora, years in fact, she hoped everything would be like it was in the day where they were kicking ass and taking names while saving a galaxy. Not that she wanted the galaxy to be in trouble, more to have her friend back.
