Arrival at Vulcan

Mission: Healing of Minds
Location: Ready Room

Captain Kaylen Rhenora moved from the bridge to her Ready Room as the USS Liberty slid effortlessly into a standard orbit as designated by Vulcan Flight Control. The ship would for all intents and purposes be parked until further notice - giving the chance for the crew to partake in some well deserved shore leave. With Commander Savar being out of action the responsibility of sorting out the crew leave rotation fell to her.

With a sigh she pulled up the ship's rosters, pulling half the staff off each shift to have 'shore leave' for a few days, then switching so the remainder had some time off. This left critical systems, training and maintenance still ongoing whilst the crew enjoyed their downtimes. It didn't take too long to organise the lists and she sent them out to all staff.

Rhenora intended to beam down with the first set of 'leave goers', the responsibility of the Liberty falling to the shift watchman - a cruisey if not boring job whilst they were parked in orbit. Still - it would give some of the junior officers a turn in the big chair and hopefully break some of the stigma attached to taking a turn in command.

With a contented sigh she rose from her desk - avoiding Ronson who she was sure would be bringing another stack of padd for her attention. Heading for the turbolift she drifted on lazy feet to her quarters and changed into something more appropriate for the hot Vulcan climate. If it was anything like the Bajoran summers she was used to - light but full length clothing that cooled the skin whilst protecting it from the scorching sun. She had no idea what to expect from a tourist perspective, apart from the heat. There were bound to be the usual geological and cultural tourist hot spots, something she was keen to partake in. A Vulcan temple would be the perfect place for a little reflection.

Grabbing a small bag and leaving a note for Remal to join her when he was able she headed for the transporter room and onto some much earned rest and relaxation.
