Captain Kaylen Rhenora sat comfortably in her command chair - her 2IC Commander Lexington to her left hand side. She had spent years serving alongside Rain whilst on the Sunfire and she was eager to re-establish their good working relationship.

" She's a beauty, and she'll pack a punch" Rhenora mused as she regarded the blueprints on the PADD in front of her. She was still getting up to speed on the ins and outs of the Liberty but it would be the quirks and quibbles that generally made or broke such a starship.

Lt Trell was at the helm after apparently an incident that required both medical and security to attend. She was sure there would be a report about it that crossed her desk at some point. Each of her new senior staff had a story that wasn't in their profiles and dossiers. Rhenora was keen to learn what made each person tick and how to use that to excel their performance. It would take time for the new crew to settle in and get to know each other - and the Liberty.

A small number of crewmen were going to join them as the Liberty progressed through her shakedown cruise. Lt Durnell who was to be their new systems analyst was running late due to transport issues. These things happened from time to time.
They were also waiting for the ships new counselor, although Kaylen hadn't received an updated ETA for them yet.

She flicked on the small viewscreen to her right hand side, bringing up a standard high level systems check. So far all departments and systems showed to be functioning within normal parametres. The Bajoran CO hoped it would remain that way.
