Mission: Healing of Minds
Location: Quarters
Timeline: A few hours later

Having been released from Sickbay Aurora arrived home expecting to be home alone until Savar finished his duties for the day. As the door opened she walked inside and stopped open mouthed. The sofa was laid out with her favourite cosy blanket and fluffy cushion, there was a smell of delicious food, and best of all Savar was waiting for her.

Savar moved to her, in his usual fluid way. Taking her hand he led her to the sofa. "lie down and rest Aurora. You are still weak from your assault." He said as he covered her with the blanket. "Do you require anything?" He asked.

Aurora made herself comfortable on the sofa and smiled up at Savar. “All I need is you Imzadi. I thought I’d come home and be alone until your shift allowed, this is wonderful.”

"I asked the Captain if I could end my shift early so I could be here with you. She graciously agreed." Savar explained. "Now just rest. If you desire anything I will get it for you."

Aurora nodded. “Just sit with me a while? That’s if you have time before the food is ready, it smells delicious!” She smiled. “What are you cooking?”

"Shrimp Scampi, with Terran jumbo shrimp, rice, garlic toast and some red wine."

“Mmmm sounds wonderful.” She smiled warmly. “Thank you for all of this, I really needed to come home to some comfort.” She gave Savar a watery eyed look. “Just hold me for a minute?”

"Of course Aurora." Savar answered as he sat down next to her, wrapping his arms around her and hopefully provide the comfort she was craving.

Aurora lay her head against her husband’s chest as she cuddled up. Just having Savar’s arms around her made her feel so much better. She conveyed how it made her feel through their bond, wanting Savar to know how safe and loved he made her feel.

Savar felt Aurora's feelings of safety and being loved and it pleased him. He did love her a great deal and he never wanted Aurora to question his love for her. So in that regard her continued to hold her and provide support for her both physical and mental.

Aurora held him feeling reassured before she eventually spoke about her experience. “He got into one of my memories, about us. A night we spent together, but when I opened my eyes it wasn’t you there! I couldn’t even see his face, just hear his voice.” She sighed. “He kept telling me to submit, to give in to his control. It took everything I had to keep him from controlling me!” She shivered. “I feel ... violated Savar.”

Savar held her even closer as she spoke, giving her his strength and calm to draw from. "A most logical feeling feeling Aurora. He was inside you on a mental level and saw your hopes, fears and desires. It is a disturbing experience. Your mental shields need to be strengthened. So there can be no repeat of this occurrence.''

Aurora nodded. “Can you help me? Just be warned my head is a mess!” She offered a brief smile as she looked up at Savar. “I want you to teach me, how to draw upon my Vulcan side. To put my emotions aside when I need to.”

"Yes. I can help you to strengthen your mental shields so there will be no repeat of an occurrence like what occurred earlier. This again. However you need to rest first and once you have, I will begin.'' Savar told her.

Aurora nodded. “I’ll rest, I promised Anna I would. Would you like to sit down with me after dinner and watch a movie? We haven’t done that in a while.”

"I believe that to be an exceptional idea Aurora. Did you have a particular movie in mind?" Savar inquired.

“Err ... how’s about Robin Hood Prince of Thieves? It has romance and a hero in it. Although my hero is right here.” She offered a wry grin as she looked at Savar.

"An excellent choice Aurora. If I am indeed your hero then you are most definitely my Queen." Savar replied solemnly.

“Well if I’m a queen then you are my king.” She offered a cheerier smile feeling a little better after recent events yet she still felt as though she needed to rid herself of the touch of the man in her mind.

"I will settle for being your husband Aurora for I can think of no greater honor than that." Savar answered as he held her close to him.

Aurora nodded. “I ask for nothing more.” She looked up. “Shall we eat? I don’t want your lovely dinner spoilt and I am hungry.”

Savar stood and then helped Aurora to stand. "Then let us wait no longer. Your dinner and drink await you." He said as he led her into the dining room.

As they reached the table Aurora took her seat, she had worked up quite an appetite thanks to all the mental exertion she’d been through.

Savar poured them both a glass of wine before retreating back in the kitchen to bring the meal out. A large tray of shrimp along with a bowl or rice and a basket, containing the garlic toast. "Help yourself Aurora and I do hope you like it."

Aurora politely took what she wanted. As she ate the first mouthful her eyes rolled as she savoured every bit. “Mmmm Savar this is wonderful.” She tucked in happy to eat more.

"I am pleased you like it Aurora." Savar answered acknowledging her compliment. "Please eat as much as you like there is plenty."

Aurora nodded. “Don’t worry I will.”

~ Some time & dessert later ~

Aurora finished off her jelly and ice cream with a big grin on her face. “Wow! That was ... amazing!” She grinned. “How’s about we go sit on the sofa wrapped in soft blankets and watch the movie.”

"I am glad you approve." Savar replied "As for your suggestion, I think it is a superb idea."

Getting up from the table Aurora kissed Savar in the cheek before walking over to the sofa and preparing for the movie, she enjoyed cuddling up with Savar to watch it was just like their old date nights. “Movie is ready!” She smiled as she made herself comfortable saving some blanket for Savar.

"Excellent." Savar replied as he came to stand next to the sofa. "Before the movie starts, Do you want some popped corn?"

“Maybe later” Aurora patted her stomach, “I’m pretty full up after that wonderful dinner and dessert!”

"As you wish Aurora." Savar replied as he slid under the blanket and close to her. "I am ready to see the antics of Robin Hood."

Aurora grinned. “Me too” she started the movie and cuddled up. They hadn’t done this in a long time and it made their time together all the more special, especially after the day she’d just had.

Savar held her close. His only duty was to keep Aurora safe from any harm. A duty he did not intend to fail at.

Aurora sat contentedly watching the movie, being wrapped in Savar’s arms made it all the more special. When the movie eventually finished she looked albeit tiredly at Savar. “Did you enjoy it? I don’t need a hero I’ve got one right here” She stifled a yawn.

"It was most interesting." Savar said as he looked at his sleepy wife. "Come let me get you to bed , you need your rest."

“As long as you promise me you won’t leave me” Aurora looked into Savar’s eyes. ‘I want to know you won’t leave me alone, not for an instant. Incase he finds me again.”

"I will not leave you Aurora. I promise." Savar answered gravely. "Tomorrow. we will strengthen your mental shields."

Aurora nodded and stood holding onto Savar’s arm as they walked into the bedroom and over to the bed. If she hadn’t been so tired she’d have made a nice raunchy time of removing her clothing but she was in need of sleep. Once her clothing was removed she slid under the bedclothes and waited for Savar to join her.

Savar also undressed and once done, slid under the sheets to place his arms around Aurora, to give her the comfort she so desperately needed.

Cuddling up to Savar, Aurora lay her head on his shoulder and draped her arm across his chest before closing her eyes, it didn’t take long to fall asleep safe in his arms.
