Having arrived at Vulcan Aurora and Savar had immediately been transported to their ancestral home. For Aurora it was a homecoming that she had needed, she hadn’t been to Vulcan in the last seven years since her last Pon’farr and that had just been to work out her time in meditation. This time it was for a life long bonding with Savar and she was ready to make herself his.

Savar stood stiffly. His concentration was being pushed to the max was solely focused on Aurora and the here and now.

The two were greeted by a priestess, as with all important ceremonies life bondings were required to be true and a priestess could determine if a bond was Truly meant to be. “Greetings Savar and Aurora. Are you ready to submit to the judgement of your bonding?”

Aurora nodded. “I am.”

Savar replied, "I too am ready."

The priestess nodded and took Aurora’s hand and that of Savar, closing her eyes she let her mind combine with theirs to see if their love was true. “Thy love for one another is true, your bonding has the blessing of the elders.” With that she stepped away.

Aurora smiled as she turned and walked alongside Savar, their quarters were already awaiting them. As they entered Aurora turned and kissed Savar passionately, they had waited for this for a long time. Pulling back she looked into his eyes. “It’s time ... I’m ready.”

Savar met her eyes, he saw in her what he was sure his showed, love, devotion, support. He returned the kiss with equal passion. "I too am ready."

Aurora gently took his hand, leading him to their room. As they reached the bedroom she sat down on the bed and faced him placing her hand on his face ready to initiate her half of the mind meld that would bond them for life. ‘My mind to your mind ...”

Savar's hand came up and gently touched her cheek and temple as he completed the ritual. "My thoughts to your thoughts." As the bond was initiated and their thoughts and lives were now and forever more be intertwined.

Their passion took over as the frustrations of Pon’farr were worked out of their systems. Their mental bond forming out of passion and true love, from now on Neither would be able to live without the other.

~ A while later ~

Aurora lay intertwined with Savar and the bedclothes. Their own clothing littered the floor where they had disguarded it in the throws of their love making. She lay quiet simply taking in the universe of thoughts of feelings that they now shared, her mind was overwhelmed by the sheer power of emotion Savar had put through their bond.

Savar laid with Aurora in his arms. Their love making had been passionate and consuming and now they basked in the bliss of their union. He turned his head to look at Aurora, his wife, his life mate and for the first time in his life he felt whole, complete and that was due to Aurora. Their bonding had been delayed but now that it had arrived it was even more rewarding as they could appreciate it so much more.

Aurora smiled as she looked up into Savar’s eyes. “I wish I hadn’t been too afraid to do this with you years ago Imzadi.” Her fingers trailed gently over his chest. “I feel ... complete in a way I can’t even put into words! My mind is totally ... overwhelmed by what we just shared.”

Savar kissed her cheek. "Do not fault yourself Aurora. We are now bonded and for all time and as we are older we can appreciate the bonding and what it means as well as each other that much more." He turned his head to see her better, "We are one, in our thoughts and that is how it should be. We will always be part and never parted."

Aurora smiled as she gently raised her hand to his cheek, gently touching his face with her fingers. “This Bonding has surpassed my wildest expectations, I love you so much.”

"And I you for all time. You have completed me Aurora. You are my wife and soulmate. No one can tear that asunder. No matter what the future brings we will always have each other."

Aurora nodded and massaged her temples. The sheer intensity of their bonding had left her with a headache which she had been trying to ignore. “Is my headache normal?”

"Yes. I apologize for the headache Aurora. You being half Vulcan left you ill prepared for the intensity of the bonding. Relax and take deep breaths, it will soon pass and you will never know it was there." Savar explained.

Aurora nodded. “I will Imzadi, besides I'm enjoying this too much to want to be anywhere else. I would happily stay here with you forever!”

He nodded and grew serious, "You know I will have to answer for killing Gul Maccet." He said quietly. "I may be court martialed, demoted, removed from service perhaps even time in prison."

“What!” Aurora looked at her husband in surprise. “You did what had to be done! They can’t take you away from me! Not now!!” She was alarmed at the mere thought of being without him.

"I will need to talk with the Captain and see where we go from here." He replied softly.

“No ... We will talk to the Captain. You’re my husband now and this concerns both of us. I need to be there with you.” She held him close to her as she cuddled up to him. “I have to be there Imzadi, please!”

"Aurora, you did not kill a man. I did. Yes, I feel he deserved it as he was trying to kill Captain Kaylen but it is not up to me.'' Savar answered.

Aurora nodded. “I know. No matter what I’ll be with you. Even if the worst comes to the worst I’ll wait for you.” She looked up at him. “I just hope it doesn’t come to that.”

"Nor do I, we will just wait and see what occurs next." Savar replied more solemnly than usual.

Aurora nodded. “Let’s talk to the Captain when we get back to the ship, at least then we’ll have some idea where we stand.” Her hand gently rested on his chest. “I’ve waited so long to be together with you, I just want us to be together.”

" As I have Aurora." He paused for a moment before continuing. "We will face this together as it should be. "Savar relented. "And face the consequences together.”

Aurora nodded and smiled. “Thank you Imzadi. I want to be at your side through this, to support you any way I can.”

"Your support is a great comfort to me Aurora. I welcome the support you are able to provide." Savar answered with a nod.

“Let’s just enjoy what time we have together for now.” Aurora rested her head on Savar’s chest. “I want to enjoy how it feels being here with you now.”

Savar held her closer. "A most excellent idea Aurora. I too do not wish this to end."

“Neither do I Imzadi, Neither do I.
