Mission: Healing of Minds
Location: Sickbay

Anna had spent the past twenty minutes after Aurora's physical reviewing data the skipper had kindly forwarded to her, and was now waiting on Savar to show up for his physical. That way, she could quickly give Captain Rhenora what she wanted. She considered waiting for Savar to make his appearance on his own accord, but then thought a reminder couldn't hurt. "Sickbay to first officer. Savar, I'm ready for you now. I've reviewed the data and need to compare it to a scan of my own. If you'd be so kind as to grace me with your presence?"

In his Ready Room, Savar had just finished his report and sent it to the Captain when Anna's call came through. He sighed silently before replying. "Savar to Chief Medical Officer. I will be there shortly." With that he rose, left the Ready Room and headed for Sickbay.

Moments later he stood in Sickbay. "Doctor, I am here." He announced as he looked around trying to find where she might be.

"Say, do you like green?" Anna asked as she walked out of the office, her signature mug of tea, this one spelling 'Sereni-tea' in hand.

"I have never thought about it. Though as my blood is green I suppose I do." Savar replied.

"Good answer", Anna smiled, holding the mug out to him. "There's never enough green. But this is a start, green tea."

He took the offered mug. "Thank you." He answered. "Tea is a staple among Vulcans. Not as much as fruit drinks however it is still popular." He replied as he sipped the tea. "Most agreeable.''

"Very good", Anna smiled. "Now, why don't you tell me about what exactly happened during that last mission?" she asked. "I mean, the more details I have, the better I'll be able to write a thorough analysis of what I'm seeing on my scans."

"As you wish Doctor." Savar answered. "I had led an away team down to a planet we had received a distress call from, a planet the Cardassians said was unhabituated. While we were conducting our scans Gul Maccet took the away team hostage. it was this time my pon'farr started and I entered the blood fever. Maccet forced the Captain to come to the surface in exchange for the away team minus Aurora and myself. When the Captain beamed down. Maccet quickly bond and assaulted her." He paused and looked at Anna. "Here I grabbed him and began to strangle him for his attack. The Captain yelled at me to stop and through the fever I heard her and stopped. However, Maccet would not be denied and he lunged for the Captain and began to choke her. He was intent on killing her. I reacted by grabbing his shoulder and spinning him around where I broke his neck." Savar finished emotionlessly.

"Hm, I'm surprised you were able to follow the Captain's order at all during blood fever", Anna said. "You must hold her in particularly high regard." Of course she had never been present during a proper ritual, but based on what she had seen of Vulcans in this state, it was exceedingly difficult to make them submit to any outside suggestion under those circumstances. "So all you need me to do is confirm based on my scans that you were indeed in plak tow by the time this happened, yes?" She figured that was easy enough. "How long ago exactly did it happen?"

"I find Captain Kaylen to be an exceptional commanding officer both personally and professionally. It is an honor of the highest caliber to serve with her." Savar answered before continuing. "36 hours ago." He replied.

"Good, good", Anna nodded, drawing her PADD and marking it down. "Well, hop onto a biobed when you're ready and I'll do the scans. I'll also take a blood sample and put it into stasis, in case anyone wants to corroborate my scans later. I'll make it with this timestamp. Can't be too careful, I suppose, and Cardassians are known to be meticulous."

Savar did as Anna asked and sat on the biobed. "A most logical assumption Doctor. I commend you and your thinking."

"I might be slightly nuts, and obviously still green behind my ears, but I have a bright moment occasionally", Anna smirked as she flicked on the sensors and then proceeded with the blood sample.

Savar studied her for several seconds before replying. "Your sense of humor is most unusual and refreshing Doctor. I approve."

"Can I have that in writing?" Anna asked. For some of the less conventional jokes, it might help her as a get-out-of-the-brig-free-card, she figured.

Savar didn't miss a beat. "Certainly Doctor. I shall send you a note confirming that." He told her.

Putting the sample off onto a tray by the side, Anna then compared the sensor data with what she would expect to see. "Yes, this data confirms you've been going pon farr and plak tow recently. The computer can run the calculation more exactly. I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. They can't hold you responsible for a violent outburst under those circumstances, surely."

"A man died because of my 'outburst' Doctor. I do not regret my actions as I prevented him from killing Captain Kaylen. In regards to what I can be held responsible for, one never knows with Command."

"I'm sure they're not quite so bad", Anna said. Though he was right, one never knew. But she was supposed to give a pep talk to her patients, even if she silently agreed with them. "But before we get to that, why don't you tell me a bit about what you think I should be looking at with your physical? Any complaints as of late?"

"We shall soon find out once Command get the reports." Savar noted. "As to my physical, I know of nothing you should be looking for. My physical condition is at an optimum level. Hearing, sight no deficiencies. Appetite is good." He finished.

"Looks good on the scans, too", Anna smiled. "As much as I'd like to poke and prod you some more, I think Aurora would be cross with me, so I better declare you fit for duty now."

"Logical thinking Doctor. Aurora would be most cross if poked or prodded too much. Let us avoid an unpleasant situation. Shall we?" Savar answered arching his eyebrow as he did.

"But do come back for tea when you feel like it", Anna offered. "I'm going to make this a signature treat in this sickbay."

Savar slid off the biobed. "I shall do that." He replied as he turned to leave but stopped and turned back. "Thank you for the tea and a most engaging conversation. I enjoyed both and look forward to our next meeting."

Anna waved. "Any time, Savar."

He nodded his head. "Doctor."
