Posted on Fri Nov 27th, 2020 @ 6:45pm by Lieutenant Aurora Vali & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen

Mission: Healing of Minds
Location: Osana Caverns
Timeline: Current

Savar and Aurora stood outside the Osana Caverns. They had on helmets with lamps, harnesses and ropes for their journey into the caverns. They had arrived by air tram and now stood ready to enter into the inky black darkness of the caverns. "Are you ready Aurora?"

Aurora was nervous but she nodded nonetheless. “I’m ready, just promise me you won’t leave my side.” She looked at Savar for reassurance.

By way of reply, Savar moved to her and tied the safety rope around her waist and making sure it was secure before securing it around his own waist. "I promise." He added.

Aurora smiled, the thought of ropes in a different sense popping up in her mind. She had no idea why she would think of such a thing though, she hoped Savar hadn’t picked up on her thought.

Unfortunately he had. He turned and looked back at her. "Really Aurora? Most interesting. I will see that your 'request' is fulfilled." He promised.

“What?” She looked at Savar her face as red as the hard hat she was wearing. “Err ... Shall we go?”

"I believe you know to what I am referring Aurora and yes let us commence our journey." Savar answered emotionlessly.

Aurora smiled as she looked at her husband before nodding. The first part of their journey looked easy but she had no doubt it would get harder as time went on.

Savar nodded a twinkle in his eyes as he started for the mouth of the cavern.

Aurora followed behind, she was more nervous than she wanted to let on but she knew there was no point trying to hide it. She had ultimate trust in Savar, she knew he’d keep her safe.

Savar felt Aurora's nervousness. But he would let no harm come to her even as his thoughts drifted to her request. Their helmet lights like twin matches lighting their way as they moved further into the cave,

“So ... do you like being adventurous in all things?” Aurora knew Savar would pick up on the fact that she meant fun in the bedroom.

Savar stopped their descent and turned to look at Aurora. Even in the darkness of the cavern she was beautiful. "I believe so Aurora. even more so with someone I love and trust."

Aurora smiled as she looked into Savar’s eyes. “Even if you weren’t interested I’d still love you. I’ve never been with anyone but you, I never found anyone else I wanted to be with.”

"I am very much relieved to hear that Aurora. In truth I am looking forward to experimenting once we return home and I can think of no other person than you. You are my world Aurora. I love you very, very much.''

To hear those words spoken freely brought tears to Aurora’s eyes. “I love you with my heart and soul Savar, I will forever be at your side.” She took his hand. “Let’s get this climb done and you can show me how much more fun we can have with ropes.”

"And I you Aurora. You will never be alone. I will always be here to comfort you when you are sad, love you when you are happy as well a provide a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen." He paused and then nodded. "Nothing would please me more."

Aurora nodded and started onward. “I’ve never climbed before Savar, so you’ll have to take it gently. I’m more than a little nervous about falling.”

"I understand Aurora and I will let no danger come to you. You will not fall. I promise." Savar replied steadfastly.

She nodded “I know, I trust you with my life. How much further do we have to go? How high is this climb?”

"We are here." He announced. "As for the height of the climb, it is not too tall. 100 meters." He stated.

Aurora nodded. “Okay, you lead and I’ll follow. Just incase you need to use the ropes to tie me up.” She grinned a wry grin.

Savar had started to climb, stopped and looked back at her. "Be careful what you wish for Aurora." Has he started his climb again.

Aurora giggled. “I am seriously looking forward to getting home!” She had to rein in her enthusiasm to concentrate on the climb ahead, she didn’t want to make any silly errors.

"I must admit, I too am looking forward to getting home." Savar answered as he climbed the rock wall slowly so Aurora could keep up.

Following Savar’s lead Aurora gripped onto the rock as tightly as she could, finding her footing carefully as they went. “Looking forward to some experimenting huh?” She smiled. “To be honest so am I.”

"I confess I am Aurora. This is all new to me but with your help, I am sure I will enjoy it."

“Then we will discover new things together Imzadi” Aurora climbed pausing as she struggled to find a secure grip. “Savar ... I can’t find a secure hold!” Her other hand was starting to slip and even though she was securely tied she was still afraid of falling.

"Steady Aurora. I have you." Savar replied and pulled on the safety rope effortlessly and brought her to him. "You are safe Aurora. Perhaps we should quit for now." He suggested.

Aurora held onto him, she had been more nervous than she thought. “I’m sorry, I don’t want to spoil your climb. We can finish if you want to?”

"No, your safety and well being mean more to me than a climb Aurora. We will return home where we can continue with some indoor events that do not require climbing." Savar answered.

Aurora grinned. “hmm you know I love that kind of climbing, I like to ride too!” She smiled a wry smile.

Savar arched an eyebrow at her comment. "Indeed. Then let us go home. I do not wish to disappoint you."

Aurora nodded and smiled. “I look forward to it.”

"It should be entertaining." Savar replied.

“Indeed” Aurora grinned. “Very entertaining.”
