Returning home after having her bruises taken of Aurora prepared the evening meal. Laying the small table she checked everything was ready before sitting down to wait for Savar to return home.

Savar came in a few minutes later. He greeted Aurora but it was clear he was preoccupied as he went into the study.

Aurora frowned and followed her husband concerned. “Savar is everything alright?”

Savar went into the study and only then did he turn to face Aurora. "I am disappointed in your decision to talk about our private lives with the Captain and Chief Medical officer." He stated flatly.

“I didn’t!” Aurora gave her husband a surprised look. “I knocked Anna over in the corridor, I helped her up and she saw my bruises. I didn’t say what had caused them, it was the Captain who mentioned her own adult fun that made Anna realise!”

Savar looked at his wife and knew he had made a mistake. "I stand corrected Aurora. Nonetheless they now know of our "experiment" and that is something i wish to remain private." He replied.

Aurora found herself digging into a Vulcan attitude she didn’t know she had, putting her hurt feelings firmly away. “I would not go telling anyone of our ... ‘experiment’ as you put it.” She gave him a blank emotionless stare.

"How would you prefer me to put it Aurora?" Savar replied his tone glacial no frosty. He was positively livid for a Vulcan.

“It does not matter” Aurora’s emotions soon crept back through. “I’m sorry, I won’t ask you to do that ever again.” She sighed and walked over to the sofa, sitting unhappily down on it.

Savar looked at her emotionlessly. "So emotional, so Betazoid. You misunderstand. I have no issue with our experimentation Aurora. I just wish to keep it private where it belongs."

“I know that!” Aurora sighed. “It just ... annoys me you thought that I would go telling everyone about it! That’s not what I talked to Anna about.”

"And I have said I stand corrected or were you not listening to that?" He inquired.

“You did, I’m sorry. I guess this counts as our first argument.” She motioned for him to sit. “Savar I ... Anna made me realise that I pushed you so hard because I was feeling inadequate as a woman. Because I can’t give you children in the normal way.”

"The Doctor is mistaken in her analysis as you are if you feel inadequate as a woman. I do not feel that way at all. I find you to be a most remarkable and superior woman Aurora. That is if my opinion counts for anything." Savar replied.

“Of course it does!” Aurora gently took hold of Savar’s hand. “It was how I felt but since talking to Anna I don’t feel that way anymore. Actually Anna made a suggestion.”

"Indeed." Savar replied guardedly.

“I told her how I feel and she suggested that perhaps, with us being in peace time with no wars or anything else to worry about. That maybe we consider undergoing an implantation procedure, so that we can be parents?”

"I see. Did you happen to mention that we wanted to have time to ourselves Aurora?"

Aurora nodded. “I did but she just advised me to talk to you, or rather she had me take my own advice. To bottle up feelings would just make them fester, which isn’t good in a relationship.”

"So you are saying what Aurora? Now you wish to have children?" Savar asked waiting for clarification.

“I ... want to be a mother but I won’t rush you into it.” Aurora looked into Savar’s eyes. “It’s just how I feel.”

"This must be a decision we are both in agreement on Aurora. If you wish to be a mother, I will withdraw my objection that we wait." Savar stated.

“You have no idea what that means to me” Her smile shone. “But I don’t want to do something that would spoil our relationship for you!”

"I am pleased I could make you happy Aurora. Nothing will spoil our relationship."

“Are you sure?” Aurora gazed deeply into Savar’s eyes. “I mean really sure? No doubts?”

"I am sure Aurora. No doubts." Savar answered firmly and without hesitation.

Aurora’s eyes filled with tears as she gave Savar a huge cuddle and kissed him. “Thank you!!”

"There is no reason to thank me Aurora. Though you are welcome. I wish to be a parent as well.''

“Then tomorrow we drop by Sickbay and see Anna.” Aurora smiled warmly. “See what’s required of us.”
