Time for a celebration {Backpost}

Location: Holodeck
Timeline: After the bonding, prior to shoreleave time on Vulcan

The holodeck was ready, the scene was one of a tropical beach on a warm summer’s evening. The barbecue was warming up ready to get underway, the waves were lapping at the beach and the sands were golden.

Aurora loved the beach and couldn’t resist this setting for hers and Savar’s party. She was still adjusting to the bonding but it would take a little time, and Savar’s influence on her was definitely showing through. She was casting a critical Vulcan eye over everything making sure it was perfect before their guests arrived.

Savar strolled up. He was in a pair of Khaki shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. He was recovered from the effects of Pon'farr but knew he had to talk with Captain Kaylen about the details regarding Maccet's death. "Is something amiss Aurora?" He inquired.

“No, nothing” Aurora smiled. “In fact everything is perfect, just the way I wanted it. I seem to have a sudden compulsion to want to make sure that everything is organised to the finest detail.”

He looked everything over. " I believe your fears have been misplaced Aurora. Every detail is perfect."

“I know, I just ...” She paused and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry, I’m adjusting to having not just my thoughts and feelings in my head but feeling your presence too.” She smiled as she took his hand. “I love feeling so close to you, I wish I hadn’t run out on you years ago. This was a bonding long overdue.”

"Alicia, you did not run out on me. You were not ready. Now you are. The humans have a good saying for times like this. Good things come to those who wait."

“Indeed they do” Aurora smiled the biggest smile yet.

T'Strella Drake, arrived for the ceremony and after party. She had received a communique that Serrenn would join her soon. As she finished up last communications and filed reports, had a conference call from her Father, the Drake... she then made her way to the holosuite setting for the celebration ...

Captain Kaylen Rhenora had changed from the stuffy dress uniform she had been wearing earlier in the piece into something more casual. A just above the knee summer dress with thin shoulder straps that accentuated her figure yet maintained the decorum necessary for her rank and position. She looked around the setting and was amazed at the detail that had gone into the holodeck programming. She smiled at Remal, who's arm she had arrived on.

Anna walked in right after the skipper, wearing a red one-piece bathing suit she deemed appropriate for a beach party, as she loved getting in the water. It felt a bit like home, as she had grown up on Risa, and she was comfortable in the setting. Meeting the crew like this was a great opportunity to show that she wasn't really as scary as the transporter chief thought she was.

" Shall we?"

Aurora smiled as she saw that they already had guests, as T’Strella had arrived first she walked over to greet her first. Being a Vulcan T’Strella understood Pon’farr not that they’d be discussing it, it was something Vulcans rarely spoke of. “T’Strella” Aurora smiled warmly as she greeted her. “Thank you for coming."

T'Strella nodded and replied. "May thy house be prosperous, may thy house be strong. May thee all live long and prosper."

She turned as a comm system called out that Serrenn had arrived. He quietly entered the holosuite, T'Strella introduced him to Aurora. "May I present a fellow colleague and friend, Captain Serrenn." She turned to Serrenn and said, "I present the Bridal Consort Aurora. "

“It is an pleasure to meet you Captain” Aurora smiled warmly.

Serrenn nodded. "Agreeable to greet thee as well. Our ship, the Sarek was in the vicinity, and arriving at Vulcan in a timely manner."

“Well I’m pleased you were able to come.” Aurora looked towards Savar. “Savar ...” She motioned him across. “This is Captain Serrenn.”

Savar held up his hand in the Vulcan salute. "Your presence here honors us Captain. I wish you peace and long life."

Serrenn nodded and returned the Vulcan salute... "Long life and prosperity, to you both. Vulcan will be a restorative and relaxing place to begin your life together."

"Indeed it will." Savar agreed. "Our home has always been welcoming and relaxing. It helps to soothe the body as well as the mind."

"Indeed. May your lives as one be prosperous ." Serrenn said and turned to T'Strella.... "We meet at the appointed place
." His nod told her everything she needed to know....

“Aurora looked to Savar. “Shall we mingle Imzadi?”

Savar nodded to Aurora, "An excellent idea Aurora."

Walking around Aurora smiled as she saw Anna amongst the crowd. “Doctor ... Anna, thank you for coming.”

"Like I'm going to miss this party", Anna said. "Especially being new here. Congratulations on your bondage... I mean, bonding. Bonding. Sorry, Freudian slip."

Alicia couldn’t help but grin, truth be known it was putting ideas into her head for late night fun. “Not to worry, it’s an easy mistake to make.”

"I haven't got my mind under control nearly as well as even half-Vulcans would like", Anna said. "Sometimes, words just slip out."

"Indeed." Savar replied. Looking at the Doctor with a cool, emotionless expression.

Aurora grinned. “Well let’s enjoy ourselves and let our hair down for shoreleave starts properly tomorrow.
