"Hello viewers! This FNS reporter Jon Perriwinkle and I have important news for you all today! It concerns our very own Captain Kaylen!" He said with a bright phony smile.

"Yes, you heard me correctly. It seems Captain Kaylen has abruptly left the Liberty, handing command over to it's First Officer, Commander Savar. As you can imagine the rumors have been flying hot and heavy." He said with glee. "Everything from Captain Kaylen and her husband by the way being on personal leave, to be working for Section 31." He paused dramatically before continuing. "However this intrepid reporter has found the reason for Captain Kaylen's departure. Through hard work (sitting in the mess hall and listening to the rumors and finding which one he liked best). I have learned that Captain Kaylen is on a secret mission for the Federation. A mission so important that the it's failure could lead to the downfall of the Federation!"

He smiled to himself as he said the last. He loved being dramatic and laying it on thick for the boobs that watched his news feeds. They ate up all the conspiracy and secret spy stories. "Never fear viewers, when I know more you will too! This Jon Perriwinkle of FNS signing off until next time!"

As the lights died and he was off the air, he thought his ratings should shoot through the roof with this story. Maybe one of the network execs would see it and decide he was ready to be an anchor for one of the prime news slots. He would wait for the call he was sure to come.
