Mission: Into the Gamma Quadrant With the Sunfire
Location: Ready Room

Having accepted a new transfer order from Starfleet offering to keep her aboard the Liberty as Chief Counsellor, Freya made her way to the CO’s ready room to meet her new Captain. Arriving at the door she straightened her uniform and pressed the chime.

"Enter!" said Sandy, as she looked up to see who it was. "Well, hello....Freya I assume...?" she said offering her hand in greeting.

“That’s me” Freya smiled warmly as she shook Sandy’s hand. “Your new Chief Counsellor, and existing Second Officer of the Liberty.”

Taking the hand, "Counselor? Wait I have you listed here on the roster as Ops officer....hm....I guess they goofed. I will fix the roster later. Welcome aboard Counselor Ross. Please you can address me as Ghost as the XO's name is also Sandy. Or you can use my last name Shannon of you prefer. Would you like something to drink, maybe eat?" Sandy asked, smiling warmly.

“Just a fruit juice would be lovely please Captain” Freya smiled. “My original position onboard was Chief of Ops and Second Officer, I was offered Chief Counsellor so I jumped at it.”

"Glad you grabbed it. Something tells me we are going to need your services on this run. We have no idea of what we will run into in the Gamma quadrant. Hopefully it will be a smoothe run," Sandy said chuckling.

“Gamma Quadrant!” Freya knew Kaden wouldn’t like the sound of that. “I’ll warn you now, my husband won’t like going to the Gamna Quadrant.”

"I saw that in his record. However, we do have our orders and they will be carried out. I believe your husband is a good deal stronger than he would give himself credit for. I was in the war myself. Saw hundreds of my fellow crewman killed, tortured, raped. It was no picnic, but I tell you this in the strictist of confidence counselor, I myself was tortured and raped but I am here, stronger than you would think and I know he will persevere as well", Sandy said letting the lone tear fall. "Sometime I will tell you about it, but for now we must move on," she added.

Freya nodded. “I agree Captain, and if you ever need to talk you know where to find me. My door is always open for those in need.”

"Thankyou Freya, and I appreciate your kindness. I just hope that Kaden understands we need him to be right where he is, here at his post," Sandy said smiling warmly.

Freya sighed. “I’m afraid that’s going to be a whole new challenge.”

"A challenge for sure but I am sure we can work it out or around it I hope," Ghost said chuckling.

“So do I” Freya offered a smile.

Ghost didn't want to loose a good officer to a difference in opinion or otherwise. "If he does not agree with his assignment or duties in the mission, I will relieve him of duty and he will be utilized else where while the mission moves ahead. I won't let him resign his comission. It is his career and something he is proud of," Sheena said smiling at Freya.

“I appreciate that Captain, Thank you” Freya offered a warm smile.

"I forgot what we were talking about!" Sheena said laughing. "It was good just talking to you Freya and we should do it again soon. Maybe a dinner party, you and your family?" Sheena asked.

Freya nodded. “I’d like that, thank you. Just name the day and time and I’ll be there.”

"Great how about right after this mission back on DS9?" Ghost said.

“DS9 it is, I’ll look forward to it” Freya offered a warm smile.
