Temporary Command

With Savar off the bridge Aurora had been left in charge, she’d somewhat nervously took the centre seat not having been in charge of a Starship before. In all honesty she was glad that they were alone in this large patch of space, last thing she wanted was for anything to crop up now.

Resting in what felt like, a much larger chair to her own, even though it wasn’t in reality any bigger. She had to wonder how Rhenora was getting on back on Bajor, she hoped she’d find what she was looking for.

“Excuse me ma’am“ A voice from nearby shook her out of her daydream.

“Yes, sorry” Aurora smiled warmly.

“I have some reports that need signing off ma’am” The fresh faced crewman held out a PADD somewhat shakily.

Taking the PADD Aurora looked at what was on it. “I’m not sure whether I should be the one signing this off, or whether I’d best keep it for Commander Savar.” She looked at the PADD again. It was mostly reports dealing with the cargo levels that they had onboard.

“I can leave the report with you ma’am” the crewman offered a nervous smile as he looked around.

“Thank you crewman” Aurora nodded. “I take it you don’t get up to the bridge very often?”

The crewman shook his head. “No ma’am, the usual Officer is in Sickbay recovering from being ill.”

“Ahh of course” Aurora nodded. “In that case welcome to the bridge!” She grinned. “I’m not normally in the centre seat either, so it’s something new for both of us.”

The crewman offered a smile before offering a polite nod and heading on his way.

Aurora smiled to herself feeling somewhat more relaxed now. Though she’d be glad when Savar returned to the bridge to take back the centre seat.
