Mission: Welcome Aboard!
Location: Engineering

Savar pulled Rhenora away from the console and behind a nearby bulkhead where they could make their move and catch the Orions off guard. He looked for the other Federation officer but they seemed to have vanished..

The Captain stifled a protest as she was manoeuvred behind the bulkhead, Savar would be taking point, causing her to wonder where Vitari had vanished to. Then again, once an infiltration specialist, always an infiltration specialist. They could slip away without making a sound. Where had she gone?

The leader and his second came into Engineering grumbling over the stubbornness of the Captain and Vulcan. When they saw no one at the console, he exploded. “What in the name
of the seven levels of hell is going on? Where could these two idiots go?” He asked looking around, seeing no one.

Rhenora raised a questioning eyebrow towards Savar, wondering what his plan was this time. With Vitari around… somewhere...it shouldn’t be too overly complex to deal with these two Orions. Shouldn't being the operative word.

There was a moment of tension bled out through the seconds as the two intrusive operators became more agitated at their lack of compatriots before the XO stepped back to scan the room, his weapon raising in suspicion when the wall behind him simply melted into motion.

Vitari’s form shifted into a blurred focus as an arm hooked around the orion officers, one leg curling around his before her kneel pressed in and she pivoted him back across herself, his sharp retort lost in a dull groan as his body collided with the ground, pinned against the body of his assailant before his struggle slowed to a loose slump and a muttered muffled curse from the other entangled form as it began the process of freeing itself from the stunned Orion form.

The Orion leader looked surprised as his cohort was dealt with in an efficient manner, and seemed to pause for a moment to consider his options.

Unfortunately for him he didn’t have long to consider his options as a nerve pinch caused him to fall to the deck unconscious. “These two will cause no more harm.” Savar told Rhenora.

“ I wish I could do that” The Bajoran admitted as she helped bind them and move them to where the other two were held. There was the option of transporting to the brig which at this stage would be a logical idea. If the transporters were working. Heading back to one of the engineering panels she pulled up a series of controls and beamed all the Orions they had despatched so far to the brig. Only 4 remained at large.

“I can endeavor to teach you Captain but I do not hold a high opinion of success.” Savar replied. “Six Orions dealt with four to go. Which of the remaining Orions are our next targets?.”

“ Such high hopes” Rhenora smiled, running another internal sensor sweep to locate the remaining enemies. Two remained on the bridge, and two were in the cargo bay. She knew the officers who were being held there would take advantage of any opportunity presented to them, making them the lesser of the priority. Taking back the bridge would come first.

“ We take back the bridge, then free the rest of the crew if they haven’t done so themselves at that point” She advised, knowing it sounded easier than it would be to pull off.

“When this is behind us. I will schedule a training session in the high hopes of teaching you the nerve pinch.” Savar deadpanned. Then continued. “Agreed a most logical plan Captain.” he paused in thought. “Captain, can you not use the transporters to transport the two Orions on the bridge into the brig where they can join their compatriots.”

“ Why must you always be so damned logical?” Rhenora spat, half in good humour as she gave herself a mental slap for not thinking of that first. ‘Damnit girl, you’re slipping’ her mind whispered. Telling said mind to shut up and behave itself the Captain moved to the transports controls and began making the adjustments required for a bridge to brig transport.

“It is in my nature.” Savar pointed out. “I will however make a conscious effort not to be so damn logical. Will that suffice Captain?”

“ Absolutely” She deftly manipulated the controls and beamed the two Orions on the bridge to a vacant brig cell, leaving only two in the cargo bays. The transporter flipped and went red with an error message the Captain had not seen before. They definitely needed to get their engineering team back here pronto. “Dangnabbit, transporters are down”

“So we do things the old fashion way and go to the cargo bay. Right Captain?” Savar asked, trying hard not to sound logical.

“ Again with the logic” Rhenora regarded him with a mock glare - working closely with a Vulcan was definitely going to take some getting used to - it was the perfect balance to her rather volatile temperament, not that she cared to admit it as such.

“I do apologize Captain.” Savar replied, having the good grace to look contrite. “Not being logical takes some getting use to. How do you do it?”

It took all of Rhenora’s fading willpower not to snort in laughter at the reply. “ Oh I don’t know, I somehow muddle my way through my illogical life, not sure how but we non-logical types tend to still get the job done”

“Indeed. It is a mystery of the universe.” Savar replied not missing a beat.
